1017 in Fairbanks

Drew Dekreon says of this photo, "You may have already heard this, but Walter Strong's daughter dropped of a large box of historical photos at ARR a couple weeks ago. We've been scanning them and putting them up internally for the employees. This photo is 556 when it was still working. I thought it was especially interesting in that you can see it is still burning coal, meaning it was sometime prior to 1955 when #557 was converted to oil, and it is in the Anchorage yard (the depot is just visible behind it, I think)."
